What are the general meetings?
The general meeting consists of a lecture on a fiber related topic given by local as well as nationally acclaimed artists, preceeded by a short business meeting. A list of the programs being offered this year can be found here.
May I attend general meetings without being a Member?
Yes, you may attend as a Visitor.
When and where are the general meetings?
The general meetings take place on the second Monday of the month from September through May, with no meeting in January. The meetings are held at Portage United Church of Christ, 2731 W. Milham Rd., Portage, MI and begin with social time at 6:30pm, meeting starts at 7 pm.
May I take a workshop without being a member?
Workshops are open to members only.
What are the advantages of being a member?
As a member, you can join study groups, rent spinning and weaving equipment, borrow books from the library, apply for scholarships, request a mentor, and enroll in workshops.
What are study groups?
Study groups are member run groups that meet monthly to advance their knowledge and skills in the fiber arts.
