Membership

There are many benefits to joining the Weavers Guild membership. As a member, you can join study groups, rent spinning and weaving equipment, borrow books from the library, apply for scholarships, request a mentor, enroll in workshops, and so much more.

How to become a member

  1. Fill out the membership form and click the "Submit" button. You can find the membership form HERE.

  2. Pay $40 for your annual dues. If you are paying online, you will be directed to a selection of payment options after clicking "Submit". If you are paying by check or cash, you will be given information for that as well on the same payment method page. 

  3. You will receive confirmation from the guild once your form AND payment is received.

  4. You are now a member!

Membership FAQs

May I attend a general meeting without being a member?

Yes! You may attend two general meetings as our guest prior to becoming a member. However, you will need to join the membership before your third general meeting.

When and where are the general meetings?

The general meetings take place on the second Monday of the month from September through May. The meetings are held at Portage United Church of Christ and/or via Zoom. Social time begins at 6:30pm, meeting starts at 7pm. The January meeting is held virtually via Zoom.

May I take a workshop without being a member?

Access to workshops is only available to members at an additional cost.

May I rent equipment without being a member?

Only members can rent equipment at an additional cost.

May I join a study group without being a member?

Only members can join study groups.

How much does membership cost?

Membership annual dues are $40 per year. This covers all meetings, study groups, mentorship programs, scholarship applications, and access to libraries, workshops, and rental equipment.
