If you can’t open The Shuttle, you may need Adobe Reader

Other possible things to consider if you are having trouble printing the Shuttle or membership form!

We’ve had some questions lately about how to print from the WGK web site. It can be frustrating because there

are a few alternative ways to print from a computer that few of us may be aware of…but they sure come in handy

when the old standby “File MenuPrint” option doesn’t work. Here’s the best one:

---Try “right-clicking” on the item you want to print. A little menu will pop up that often has “Print” as an option.

This is the trick that you’ve needed to know to print the WGK membership enrollment form. It’ll work to print a

paper copy of the Shuttle, too, as long as you have Adobe Reader downloaded onto your computer.

A word about the membership form, though—‘til now you haven’t needed Adobe Reader to print the membership

form. However, it usually came out with wonky margins and on 2 pages instead of one. After several complaints,

we’ve asked the web master to make a change, replacing the old form with an Adobe Reader version. The new

Adobe version of the form will print on a single page, and you’ll print it the same way you print the Shuttle.

FYI, depending upon what version of Adobe Reader you have and how it’s set up, you may have an alternative

method for printing the Shuttle or new membership formclicking on the little printer icon that appears at the

upper left-hand corner of the Adobe Reader tool bar that may appear just above the viewable image of the Shuttle

(not the printer icon that may appear on your web browser’s tool bar).

If you have trouble with Adobe Reader or other issues with accessing the web site, it’s best to contact Adobe tech

services or your ISP technician, respectively. If all else fails, you might try calling Nancy Frost who most likely

has already made most of the computer mistakes anyone else will, and who is willing to what she’s learned in the

process.
